The former St. Cloud State and St. Thomas defender spent this past season split between the Steelheads and the Indy Fuel (ECHL). With the Fuel, he had two points in 24 games. In Idaho, he scored three goals and added six assists for nine points in 34 regular season games.
Hailing from St. Michael, Minn., Zins spent four years in the NCAA from 2019-2023, collecting 19 points in 69 games.
With Zins re-signing with the Steelheads, he has the chance to build off what he constructed with the team in 2023-24. Although he struggled to find the scoresheet with the Fuel, something clicked when he joined the Steelheads. If he can replicate that somehow this season, Zins will be in a solid spot to play a big role.
