Trading Jacob Trouba To The Anaheim Ducks In NHL 25

Back again with another NHL 25 trade simulation, today we look at the New York Rangers dealing their captain Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Urho Vaakanainen and a fourth round pick.

After starting the season off at 86 overall Trouba is now 84 overall after the most recent update. Vaakanainen is 78 overall.

Trouba has a modified no trade clause in the game but was able to be traded to Anaheim.

When we proposed the deal as Anaheim the Rangers were totally unwilling to part with Trouba.

Meanwhile, the Ducks were ecstatic to take the deal when we proposed it as New York.

We cannot factor in Trouba's desire to stay in New York or the Rangers desire to trade him by any means necessary but NHL 25 thinks the Ducks came out ahead here, even with them absorbing all salary.
