Tottenham vs Bournemouth - LIVE!

Tottenham had to survive some nervy moments but ended 2023 on a high as they battled to a 3-1 win over Bournemouth. Boosted by Rodrigo Bentancur's unexpected return to the starting lineup, six weeks ahead of schedule in his recovery from an ankle injury, Spurs started well and took the lead through Pape Matar Sarr, as Bournemouth paid the price for a poor pass out from goalkeeper Neto.

The Cherries became utterly dominant by the end of the opening period, Spurs unable to keep hold of the ball or leave their own half. The hosts somehow survived a constant stream of Bournemouth attacks, with Dominic Solanke coming as close as anyone to equalising as his deflected effort bounced off the top of the bar.

Spurs' ruthless edge kicked in though as they struck twice in nine minutes to take complete control. Heung-min Son doubled the lead for the hosts, as he finished brilliantly with his left foot after a glorious pass from Giovani Lo Celso. And Richarlison put Spurs in complete control with ten minutes remaining, as he swept home from Brennan Johnson's low cross into the middle. Bournemouth pulled one goal back, Alex Scott putting the finishing touch on a lovely move from the visitors, but there was to be no further drama as Spurs closed to within a point of Arsenal in fourth place.

Giovani Lo Celso returned to the side and produced a match-winning display as Tottenham staggered over the line to earn a scrappy and hard-fought 3-1 win over Bournemouth, which moved them to within a point of fourth-placed Arsenal.

An exhausted and depleted Spurs finished the game a man down after one of their five subs, Alejo Veliz, was the latest of Ange Postecoglou's squad to succumb to injury and with a patched-up team on the field, including Emerson Royal, Ben Davies, Eric Dier, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Bryan Gil.

Pape Sarr, who opened the scoring with a crisp 20-yard strike in the first half, was earlier forced off on the half-hour with a suspected muscle injury. Both Sarr and Veliz left the pitch in tears, suggesting their injuries may be serious.

A hard-fought win for Spurs, who move to within a point of fourth-placed Arsenal.

If the top four are in a title race, then why not Spurs?

The win was marred by further injuries to Sarr and Veliz, who both left the field in tears. The squad for Burnley in the FA Cup on January 5 could be very experimental.

Big win that for Tottenham, especially with the result elsewhere in London.

Fulham have beaten Arsenal 2-1, meaning Spurs are now just one point behind the Gunners in fourth.

And there is the full-time whistle.

Spurs far from convincing for much of that match, but they get the job done to end Bournemouth's seven-match unbeaten run.

Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth

16:07 , Matt Verri

90+11 mins: This match is never going to end.

Long VAR check for this - the replay would suggest Scott very much is offside.

Eventually that decision is confirmed.

Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth

16:06 , Matt Verri

90+10 mins: Not quite, as we tick into the 100th minute.

Tavernier picks out Scott at the back post and he heads home!

Wait... offside flag is up. Won't count.

Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth

16:04 , Matt Verri

90+9 mins: Bournemouth have now had 13 corners... Spurs dealing with them though.

Brooks fires at goal from distance, well wide. That should be that.

Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth

16:02 , Matt Verri

90+6 mins: Spurs doing a good job of slowing things down, Bournemouth unable to mount a late charge.

Ball whipped into the middle from deep, Solanke does well to get up but the header is wide.

Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth

16:00 , Matt Verri

90+4 mins: So then - Spurs down to ten men. Veliz can't continue and Spurs can't make any more changes.

We've still got six or seven minutes to play after that delay.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

15:59 , Matt Verri

Spurs may be two goals to the good in stoppage-time but the drama here is unceasing.

Postecoglou is furious with the Bournemouth bench and the Australian and one of Bournemouth's coaches are both booked following a row which appeared to be over Alejo Veliz.

The young Argentine striker was clearly injured but tried to play on because Spurs had used all five subs. Eventually he goes down and is the second Spurs player to be forced off the field in tears.

Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth

15:56 , Matt Verri

90 mins: Still Bournemouth push - could yet have a grandstand finish here.

Veliz is down for Spurs, hamstring? Semenyo meanwhile goes for goal from distance, straight at the goalkeeper.

Veliz back up, limping on. Spurs have no more changes to make.

Eight minutes added on!

Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth

15:53 , Matt Verri

87 mins: Off the bar!

Constant entertainment when Spurs are involved. Gil from close range turns an effort at goal, hits the woodwork.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

15:51 , Matt Verri

Spurs will know first-hand from their midweek defeat at Brighton that two goals is not necessarily a safe lead, particularly with the World Cup style injury time potentially to be played.

A patched-up XI is facing another big 10 minutes here.

GOAL! Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth | Alex Scott 84'

15:50 , Matt Verri

There's one back!

What a wonderful move, Bournemouth more than deserve that.

Spurs cut open, ball is cut back and Scott finishes low into the far corner.

Tottenham 3-0 Bournemouth

15:48 , Matt Verri

82 mins: Two Spurs changes. Veliz and Gil on for Richarlison and Johnson.

Make that three subs - Lo Celso also off, as Dier is introduced. Not exactly a straight swap.

GOAL! Tottenham 3-0 Bournemouth | Richarlison 80'

15:46 , Matt Verri

Game over!

That'll do it. Ball played low into the near post from Johnson, and Richarlison sweeps home a first-time finish.

Tottenham 2-0 Bournemouth

15:45 , Matt Verri

80 mins: Senesi bundles into Lo Celso, nothing particularly subtle about that and it's a yellow card.

That's a suspension coming up for the Bournemouth defender.

Tottenham 2-0 Bournemouth

15:43 , Matt Verri

77 mins: Tavernier blocked off by Hojbjerg, free-kick in a really dangerous position for Bournemouth. Goal here and it really is game on.

Cook fires it into the near post, not convincing from Spurs but they deal with it.

Tottenham 2-0 Bournemouth

15:39 , Matt Verri

74 mins: And now Bournemouth are looking really shaky.

Skipp away down the right, low ball played into the middle. Son can't get on the end of it, falls perfectly for Richarlison though and Neto forced into a good save.

GOAL! Tottenham 2-0 Bournemouth | Heung-min Son 71'

15:37 , Matt Verri

Spurs double their lead!

Again Son is played in, this time he does go for the left-footed strike and he finds the far corner. Superb finish.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:34 , Matt Verri

68 mins: Spurs on the counter, Richarlison plays the ball through to Son and he's in.

Opts to try and cut onto his right foot rather than just shoot, and Senesi sticks in a foot in. Groans around the stadium.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:33 , Matt Verri

67 mins: Spurs starting to offer a threat of their own again. At long last.

Johnson's ball into the box is a good one, headed behind for a corner.

Porro over to take this. Neto does just about enough, and Christie completes the clearing job.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:31 , Matt Verri

65 mins: A mess at the back from Spurs.

Poor backpass from Davies, Royal clears it but clatters into Vicario in the process.

Brazilian kicks it out to receive some treatment, but he's fine to carry on.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:29 , Matt Verri

64 mins: More like it from Spurs, as Lo Celso gets in down the side of the Bournemouth defence.

Great ball across the six-yard box, Richarlison can't quite get on the end of it.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

15:27 , Matt Verri

A big 30 minutes coming up for Spurs, who could move to within a point of Arsenal if the scores remain the same.

Their best bet looks like a breakaway involving Son because Bournemouth are continuing to dominate the ball.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:26 , Matt Verri

60 mins: Bournemouth continue to push, and continue to fail to find an equaliser.

Ball played across the face of goal, Solanke gets across his man but can't finish at the near post.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:24 , Matt Verri

58 mins: Postecoglou has seen enough.

Bentancur is off, manages just under an hour on his surprise return from injury.

Hojbjerg on for Spurs.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:22 , Matt Verri

57 mins: Play goes on for a while, but the referee is not forgetting that Skipp challenge.

Swiftly calls him over and it is indeed a yellow card for the midfielder.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:22 , Matt Verri

56 mins: Poor challenge from Skipp, will surely be a yellow card but advantage is played.

Tavernier cuts in off the right wing, tries his luck from distance. Blocked.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:18 , Matt Verri

53 mins: And yet it should be 2-0!

A rare Spurs attack, Bournemouth opened up.

Son slides the ball through to Richarlison, only the goalkeeper to beat but it's a terrible effort. Dragged wide.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:17 , Matt Verri

52 mins: It is insane that this is still 1-0. Spurs cannot get out, they look totally spent.

Kluivert with another dangerous run, wins a corner. Vicario punches this away, but Tavernier's effort is deflected behind. Yet another corner to come.

This one isn't great, Bentancur clears at the near post.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:16 , Matt Verri

50 mins: Real chance for Kluivert to play Solanke in, but it's a weak pass and Davies clear. Bournemouth straight back on the attack though and they win a corner.

To the back post, Vicario with a big save! Solanke got up well, Spurs goalkeeper was up to the task.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:14 , Matt Verri

48 mins: Well the pattern hasn't changed.

Bournemouth continue to look threatening... until Sinisterra beats Porro and then runs straight out of play.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

15:12 , Matt Verri

46 mins: Ouattara off at the break for Bournemouth, Aarons on to replace him.

Solanke limped off at half-time, wasn't moving very well, but he's come back out.

He's very nearly clean through within a minute of the restart, but Udogie scrambles across to clear.

Back underway!

15:11 , Matt Verri

Up and running in the second-half.

If it's more of the same, Spurs fans have a very long 45 minutes ahead...

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Hugo Lloris signs off his half-time farewell with Paul Coyte and Ledley King with a nice line: "It's time for me to say goodbye but it's goodbye from the player not from the man. I will be a Spurs man for the rest of my life."

First-half stats...

15:03 , Matt Verri

Tottenham have had slightly more possession, but it's been one-way traffic in terms of attempts.

Bournemouth had 12 shots in the first-half, with six corners too as they piled on the pressure.

Just five efforts for Spurs, but that was enough for them to take the lead.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

14:58 , Matt Verri

Spurs started well but faded after goalscorer Sarr was forced off after half-an-hour, and the hosts finished the half getting rinsed by Bournemouth in midfield and down each flank.

Postecoglou will demand more in the second half but there's not a lot on the bench so his depleted core will have to raise their games.

HT: Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:55 , Matt Verri

And that is half-time.

Spurs hanging on for dear life there, Bournemouth ran them ragged as the half went on.

Cherries much the better side but it's Tottenham who have a narrow lead through Sarr's early finish.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:52 , Matt Verri

45+6 mins: Bournemouth in behind again, Spurs are an absolute mess at the moment.

Kluivert onto his right foot, Porro slides in to make the block. Another corner coming up.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

14:51 , Matt Verri

Spurs look dead on their feet and in need of half-time here.

Every time they get the ball, they manage to give it away and Bournemouth will be gutted to hear the whistle as they push for a leveller.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:50 , Matt Verri

45+5 mins: Corner deep to the back post, Spurs flick it away and Cook is unable to keep the attack going as Richarlison closes him down.

Bournemouth can be really happy with their efforts... but they are still trailing.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:50 , Matt Verri

45+4 mins: Spurs cannot get out, they're losing the ball every time they do win it back.

Another lovely Bournemouth move, cut back to Solanke and his effort is deflected off the bar and behind.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:46 , Matt Verri

45 mins: Another real chance for Bournemouth, as they attack down the left again.

Ball falls for Kluivert in the box, but he scuffs the finish wide of the far post. Had to do better than that.

Seven minutes added on!

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

14:44 , Matt Verri

The injury to Sarr and another stoppage for treatment on Solanke has sucked a bit of tempo out of this game.

Bring on half-time and Hugo Lloris, who is going to get rained on out on the pitch.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:42 , Matt Verri

42 mins: Tavernier to take it himself... just wide! In fact, it took a flick off Richarlison. Corner.

Suddenly started pouring with rain in north London.

Again Bournemouth win the header from the corner, Ouattara can't direct it though. Cherries well on top now.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:41 , Matt Verri

40 mins: Tavernier cuts inside, pokes the ball away from Lo Celso and wins a free-kick as the Spurs man comes flying in.

This is in a great position for Bournemouth.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:39 , Matt Verri

38 mins: Not moving hugely well, but Solanke is back on his feet.

Going to come back on - positive news, because that didn't look good at first.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:38 , Matt Verri

37 mins: Now real concern for Bournemouth.

Solanke in behind, loses his balance and collides with Udogie. Looks like his knee twisted and the striker has stayed down, in a lot of pain.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

14:36 , Matt Verri

Sarr looked devastated as he came off the field, pulling his shirt over his face and perhaps sensing his AFCON is now in doubt.

It looked like it could be another hamstring injury, continuing a theme of Spurs' development under Postecoglou.

It is cruel to say it but a minor muscle injury now would not be the worst thing for Spurs, given Senegal are likely to go deep in the Ivory Coast.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:35 , Matt Verri

34 mins: Porro's clearance deflects back off him, Bournemouth win a corner out of nothing.

This one crossed straight in, Sinisterra up well at the near post but too much on the header.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:33 , Matt Verri

32 mins: Sarr has gone down off the ball - he looks absolutely devastated.

Limping off, his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations could be in major doubt. Has his head in his shirt.

Skipp coming on to replace him.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:31 , Matt Verri

30 mins: Bournemouth playing some lovely football.

Spurs carved open, ball across the face of goal but nobody there for a tap-in.

Cherries stay on the attack, Smith whips it in and Solanke flicks a header wide.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:29 , Matt Verri

28 mins: Bournemouth take the corner shot, eventually whipped into the middle.

Ouattara looks to hook an effort at goal, foot is high though and catches Richarlison. Free-kick.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:26 , Matt Verri

26 mins: Good work from Richarlison and Son is away, it's a two-on-one for Spurs.

Son clearly wants to pass to Johnson, eventually realises the space is there for the shot. Straight at Neto.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

14:24 , Matt Verri

Spurs are well on the top here and pushing for a second, with the crowd encouraging them to shoot around the box rather than try to weave a way through Bournemouth.

One nil is rarely ever enough with Ange-ball so taking advantage of this spell of dominance feels important.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:23 , Matt Verri

22 mins: Son drives into the box, lays it back to Bentancur.

He plays the ball out to Porro, whipped into the box and he picks out Richarlison, but the Brazilian doesn't react in time.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:19 , Matt Verri

19 mins: Son and Udogie combine well, the defender is urged to shoot by the fans but opts to play it back to Son.

Patient build-up, until Royal lashes an effort at goal from distance. Turned behind for a corner.

Whipped to the back post, Cook flicks a header away and Lo Celso has to go back to Vicario.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:18 , Matt Verri

17 mins: There is plenty of space for both sides in midfield. Would be stunned if this finished 1-0.

Bournemouth pressing high up the pitch, but Spurs looking really confident on the ball.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:15 , Matt Verri

14 mins: Bournemouth will get chances to level this up.

Ball over the top, Solanke looks to be clean through on goal but Udogie does superbly to get back.

Christie is then free on the edge of the box, opts for a cute pass rather than a shot and Vicario is out to claim.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

14:12 , Matt Verri

Spurs fans were crying out for Pape Sarr to shoot a few minutes ago and this time he can't ignore them as Bournemouth keep backing off.

Excellent pressing from the returning Bentancur and Sarr to win the ball back in the build-up.

Spurs look much sharper in midfield already.

Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

14:11 , Matt Verri

11 mins: Almost a repeat straight from kick-off, Bournemouth rattled.

Sarr opts to cross it in this time, cleared away with Richarlison lurking at the back post.

GOAL! Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth | Pape Matar Sarr 9'

14:10 , Matt Verri

And it is Spurs who take the lead!

Bournemouth play themselves into trouble at the back and it proves costly.

Comes to Sarr on the edge of the box, low finish fids the far corner.

Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth

14:08 , Matt Verri

7 mins: Brief concern for Bournemouth, as Solanke stays down after colliding with Kluivert. He'll be fine to continue.

And Solanke should score! Brilliant ball into the middle, Solanke completely free but he makes a complete mess of the header.

Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth

14:05 , Matt Verri

4 mins: Bournemouth are playing a high line, such an open start to this match.

Sarr this time charging down the right, cut back falls for Richarlison. He fires a finish high and wide of the Bournemouth goal.

14:03 , Matt Verri

2 mins: Huge chance!

Should be 1-0 Spurs. Bournemouth carved open, Johnson plays the ball across the face of goal.

Son completely free at the back post, shanks his shot wide. May have been offside.

Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth

14:03 , Matt Verri

1 min: Bright start from Bournemouth, straight on the front foot.

Ball over the top, Sinisterra is in behind Porro but the full-back gets across to see the ball out.

Another attack follows from the Cherries, Bournemouth fancy their chances down their left. Spurs scramble it away.

Major boost for Spurs!

Strong January crucial for Spurs

13:38 , Matt Verri

In the battle of the depleted squads on Thursday, it was Tottenham who most missed their absent players in a chaotic 4-2 defeat to Brighton which underlined the gap between Ange Postecoglou's starters and back-ups - as well as the spirit of his squad.

At 4-0 down, this looked likely to be a humbling night for Spurs against a Brighton side who were also missing nine players but were as menacing as ever and could have score more against a sloppy and passive opponent.

But Spurs rallied late on, with goals back from substitute Alejo Veliz and Ben Davies, and threatened a late comeback, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg hitting the post and Pedro Porro and Heung-min Son going close.

It papered over the cracks of a poor display but given so much of Postecoglou's fledgling project is about the feelgood factor, at least Spurs could take some positives away from the south coast.

Even with a full squad, there were always likely to be off-days for Spurs this season while they adapt to Postecoglou's approach but they remain in a strong position to challenge for the top four, and this result should further underline the importance of a strong January transfer window.

They desperately need a new centre-half early in the month and perhaps a new midfielder, with Bissouma and Pape Sarr set for the Africa Cup of Nations next month.

Dragusin a Spurs target

13:29 , Matt Verri

Tottenham target Radu Dragusin is interested in a move to Spurs in January, the Genoa defender's agent has confirmed.

Standard Sport understands the centre-back is of interest to Ange Postecoglou in the upcoming transfer market as the manager looks to bolster his defence.

"We [Genoa, Manea and Dragusin] said to ourselves that we will talk after the transfer market," the agent told SportItalia. "We don’t want to leave either, we start from this assumption, then if an important club comes that can make him make a leap in his career it’s normal that they can evaluate him.

"Just like Genoa, if an important figure arrives, according to what we’ve read there is talk of possible offers of €30million [£26m]. In life certain trains arrive once or twice, but we are in no hurry to leave, many teams have called and are interested."

He added: "In my opinion, if he leaves Genoa, he must do so for a very important team. I’m talking about one of the top five or six in the Premier League, the top in Italy like Inter or Milan."

Spurs youngsters set for big 2024

Jamie Donley

The 18-year-old has made late cameos in the Premier League games against Manchester City - some debut - and Newcastle in recent weeks, suggesting he is edging closer to significant minutes for Ange Postecoglou's side.

Donley is a technical forward who has earned lofty comparisons with Harry Kane, in part due to style of play and habit of drifting between No9 and No10.

He was named Premier League 2's player of the month for October and already boasts six goals and 11 assists from just 11 appearances this term, including three in the EFL Trophy, but now trains with the first-team full-time.

Postecoglou has said the teenager has "a long way to go" and suggested a loan move is likely to be the next step in his development, which could come in January.

Spurs to lose trio next month

12:54 , Matt Verri

It could prove to be a tough January for Tottenham.

Already faced with a number of absentees, Ange Postecoglou's selection concerns will only increase at the start of 2024 when captain Heung-min Son leaves for the Asian Cup with South Korea and Mali's Yves Bissouma and Senegal midfielder Pape Sarr compete in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The fixture list is not particularly hectic next month, but those are still big gaps for Spurs to fill.

Since losing 6-1 to Man City at the start of November, Bournemouth have been in sensational form.

The Cherries have picked up 19 points from a possible 21, scoring 18 goals across those seven matches.

Plenty of goals, confidence high... a real test coming up for Spurs.

London Premier League Team of 2023

12:29 , Matt Verri

(3-4-3): Vicario; Saliba, Gabriel, Guehi; Porro, Rice, Odegaard, Saka; Eze, Mbuemo, Bowen

Yes, I've gone with Bukayo Saka at left wing-back but there were no stellar options there, writes Dan Kilpatrick.

The Arsenal players - and Declan Rice, who led West Ham to the Conference League before joining the Gunners - need no explanation.

Guglielmo Vicario has only played half a season but has been outstanding for Tottenham, and Pedro Porro gets in at right wing-back. He caught the eye going forward from January last term and has excelled under Ange Postecoglou.

Eberechi Eze and Bryan Mbuemo were both outstanding in the latter half of last term - Mbuemo scored against Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham and Spurs (twice) for Brentford - and have continued to impress this season when fit.

Jarrod Bowen gets better and better for West Ham and has taken Rice's place as the crowd favourite.

Postecoglou: Nothing magical will happen in January

12:18 , Matt Verri

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou has admitted his squad is "nowhere near" strong enough but warned supporters that "nothing magical is going to happen" in January.

The shortcomings of Postecoglou's squad were exposed in Thursday's 4-2 defeat to Brighton, when Spurs were missing nine players and played a four-man defence made up entirely of full-backs.

The head coach has called on the club to do their January business early in the month, with Spurs prioritising a centre-back and set to consider moves for a midfielder and forward. But Postecoglou has moved to play down expectations of a transformative window.

"We are where we are. Nothing magical’s going to happen in the January window. What we need to do is just keep building," Postecoglou said.

"We’ve had one window with this team to change it around, to do things differently. The fact that we’re in the position we are is a credit to the players. For all the challenges we’ve had, we just kept planning forward and that’s what we’ll do.

"We’ll see what we can do in January but ultimately it’s about building a side that will get us to where we want to.”

Hugo Lloris has completed a permanent transfer to LAFC, ending a more-than-11-year stay at Tottenham.

The French goalkeeper played 447 times for Spurs after signing from Lyon in 2012, going on to captain the club and play in their run to the Champions League final four years ago.

Tottenham have asked fans to pay their thanks to Lloris and his time at the club at half-time against Bournemouth after his exit was announced on Saturday.

Lloris said in a club interview: “This is a personal message to all the Spurs fans. I just wanted to say thank you for all your support since day one.

“It has been a great privilege to be one of yours and one of your captains for many years and it’s the end of the chapter, but you will be always in my hearts. Spurs will always be a special place for me and all my family."

Spurs' squad is increasingly stretched and Bournemouth will fancy their chances of exploiting Ange Postecoglou's side in the same way that Brighton did.

The Cherries are playing with plenty of confidence right now and it could prove to be a frustrating, but typically entertaining, afternoon for Tottenham.

Draw, 2-2.

Tottenham will be without Dejan Kulusevski for today's meeting.

The Swedish is suspended after picking up a fifth booking against Brighton, and is likely to be replaced in the starting XI by Giovani Lo Celso.

Oliver Skipp is expected to be fit after missing the game at the Amex with a knock and could replace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at No6, but manager Ange Postecoglou otherwise only has inexperienced options to bring in.

Alejo Veliz is pushing for more minutes after scoring his first Spurs goal from the bench on Thursday, while teenager Ashley Phillips could also make his first appearance for the club at centre-back.

Predicted Tottenham XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Emerson, Davies, Udogie; Skipp, Sarr; Johnson, Lo Celso, Son; Richarlison
