Tottenham have conceded nine goals in their last three Premier League games, suffering devastating defeats at the hands of Crystal Palace, Chelsea and last weekend at Arsenal.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have slipped from the top of the table in the last international break and into the bottom half as we approach another set of World Cup qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa have lost just one of their last five league games and produced a terrific display to beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford last time out.

Dean Smith’s men can continue their rapid rise up the table with a victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a result they managed just over four months ago at the end of last season.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match today.

When is it?

The match will take place at 2pm BST on Sunday 3 October.

How can I watch it?

The match is not available to watch live in the UK.

What is the team news?

Tottenham have no fresh injury concerns heading into this one, but it is a matter of selection decisions for Nuno. Japhet Tanganga, Eric Dier and Dele Alli all had extremely difficult games at the Emirates last weekend so they could be replaced by Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero and Oliver Skipp.

Axel Tuanzebe looks set to return to the Aston Villa squad but is not expected to force his way into the starting line-up following Smith’s side’s impressive defensive display at Old Trafford. Villa are still without Trezeguet, Leon Bailey, Morgan Sanson and Keinan Davis due to injuries.

Possible line-ups

Tottenham: Lloris; Emerson, Romero, Sanchez, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Skipp, Ndombele; Lucas, Kane, Son

Aston Villa: Martinez; Konsa, Hause, Mings; Cash, McGinn, Douglas Luiz, J.Ramsey, Targett; Ings, Watkins

Odds

Tottenham: 6/5

Draw: 45/17

Aston Villa: 28/11

Prediction

Villa will be bouncing following their sensational, dramatic win at Old Trafford last weekend. They will fancy their chances coming into this one against a Spurs side bereft of any ideas or confidence. It could be a toe-to-toe fight as both teams will desperately want to win for very different reasons. 2-2.
