Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou poured cold water on the idea that he was in the running to become the next England manager after his Spurs side thrashed Hearts 5-1 in a pre-season friendly.

The Australian manager has been linked with the vacant role at the head of English football following Gareth Southgate's departure on Tuesday, but insisted that there was nothing of substance in the rumours.

"I was having a nap this afternoon. I have no idea", he explained when asked. I'm the Tottenham manager and I'm determined to bring success to this club. That's where my focus is totally."
