Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says there is "no doubt" the club need to make new signings in the final days of the January transfer window.

Spurs' crippling injury crisis shows no signs of abating heading into the weekend, when Leicester City visit north London, with Pape Sarr, Yves Bissouma and Djed Spence all doubts.

That trio includes a further eight all ruled out, including star striker Dominic Solanke.

Spurs have lost seven of their last nine Premier League games to drop to 15th in the standings, and on Thursday scrapped past Hoffenheim in the Europa League with a heavily depleted squad that was unable to fill the substitutes’ bench.

The only new addition to the squad so far this month has been goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, while interest in Randal Kolo Muani fell flat after the striker opted to join Juventus on loan.

Asked for an update on possible incomings, Postecoglou told reporters: "There's still no doubt we need to help these players. We've still got some significant games before we get these [injured] players back."

Both Manor Solomon and Bryan Gil, two forwards, are impressing on loan at Leeds and Girona, respectively, but Postecoglou ruled out recalling them this month to help the squad.
