Toronto Maple Leafs Send Fraser Minten To Toronto Marlies
The Toronto Maple Leafs announced they have assigned forward Fraser Minten to their AHL affiliate Toronto Marlies.
Minten was recalled on Nov. 19 and has recorded two goals and two assists in 11 games with the Leafs this season while averaging 12:47 of ice time.
The 20-year-old has four points in five games with the Marlies this season. With just 20 professional games (15 NHL, five AHL) under his belt Minten will have an opportunity to play higher in the lineup and take on more offensive responsibility in the AHL.
Minten seems to have earned the trust of head coach Craig Berube and could be back up with the Leafs at some point this season.

With David Kampf set to return and Bobby McMann recently coming of the injured reserve Minten's waivers exempt contract also likely plays a factor in him being the odd man out.
A second round pick in 2022, Minten split last season between the Maple Leafs, Kamloops Blazers, and Saskatoon Blades, he also captained Team Canada at the 2024 World Junior Championship.
