Toronto Maple Leafs Recall Fraser Minten From AHL
The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled forward Fraser Minten from the Toronto Marlies, the team announced Tuesday.
The move comes after forward David Kampf was placed on injured reserve,
Minten, who was drafted by the Maple Leafs in the second round of the 2022 NHL Draft, began his season with the Marlies after suffering an injury during the pre-season. Through five games, he scored two goals and added four points.
Although this is his first full pro season, Minten made the Maple Leafs out of training camp last year, appearing in four games with the team before being assigned to the WHL.
With the Leafs having lost members of their bottom six to injury and suspension, Minten should draw into the lineup. Capable of chipping in on both ends of the ice, Minten has the opportunity to showcase his game to Craig Berube and potentially earn a longer look.
