Toronto Maple Leafs Recall Alex Steeves From Toronto Marlies
The Toronto Maple Leaf have recalled forward Alex Steeves from the Toronto Marlies on an emergency basis.
Steeves has had a fantastic start to the season with the Marlies, recording nine goals and 12 points through 12 games.
The 24-year-old played one game with the Leafs last season and has one assist in seven career NHL games, all with Toronto.
With Auston Matthews and Max Pacioretty on injured reserve Connor Dewar is expected to play his first game of the season, meaning Steeves will likely not dress and serve as an extra forward.
