Toronto councilor Norm Kelly reaches out to the Based God for Raptors blessing
With one quick tweet, Toronto’s favorite city councilor is hoping to change the Raptors’ fortunes.
Norm Kelly, the unofficial mayor of Twitter in Toronto, is an avid fan of Toronto’s sports franchises. With the Leafs trailing the Capitals 3-2 and the Raptors struggling in Milwaukee, a superstitious Kelly called for a blessing from Lil B, a rapper known for his notorious hexes.
It didn’t take long for the Bay Area artist to oblige:
@norm Hello norm as always anytime you ask things are granted " The BasedGod " has just sent love and great spirit to Toronto sports 2017 – Lil B

It may not seem like a big deal, but Toronto should be happy to be on the Based God’s good side. His infamous spat with Kevin Durant and James Harden have led many to believe the curse of Lil’B holds true.
KEVIN DURANT WILL NEVER WIN THE TITLE AFTER HE SAID "LIL B" IS A WACK RAPPER,
"THE BASEDGODS CURSE"#THEBASEDGODSCURSE ON DURANT – Lil B

Though the California native has lifted the curse on KD since the former MVP joined the Golden State Warriors — coincidentally his favorite team — Lil B’s feelings toward Harden have recently been on edge.
James harden please calm down with the lil b cooking dance sports celebration congrats for the okc win but watch the curse – Lil B

The Raptors hope to even the series against the Bucks on Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee, while the Leafs attempt to stave off elimination in Sunday’s Game 6 against the Capitals.
