Toni Kroos reacts to ex-Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo reaching 900-goal mark
Real Madrid icon Toni Kroos has taken to social media, to provide his response to former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest goalscoring milestone.
The name of veteran frontman Ronaldo has of course positioned itself front and centre in the headlines across all of Europe over the last 24 hours.
This comes owing to the 38-year-old’s latest endeavours on the international front.
Afforded a start in Portugal’s Nations League meeting with Croatia, Ronaldo bagged his country’s decisive 2nd of the night, late in the first-half.
And, in the process, the Al-Nassr standout took his career goalscoring tally to an absolutely eye-watering figure of 900.
Messages of congratulations, in turn, have since flooded in for Ronaldo, from across the world of football.
And, as alluded to above, in the early hours of Saturday, a recently-departed member of the midfield ranks at Real Madrid added his name to the list of CR7’s well-wishers.
In a post on his official ‘X’ account, Toni Kroos jokingly suggested that, even if his goals from training and matches across the entirety of his career were combined, the German still would not manage to reach the 900-mark hit by his one-time teammate:
Don’t even reach 900 if i combine games and training goals https://t.co/ZAauK5Z1QU
