New England welcomed CF Montréal to town, and the visitors halved their 2-0 deficit thanks to a delicious strike from left-back Tom Pearce.

It takes courage to try a crack at goal from this kind of range, but the 26-year-old stepped up and delivered expertly.

Pearce’s left-foot finish had enough whip, height and late curl on it to beat goalkeeper Aljaž Ivačič and stun the home crowd.

What a way to score your first goal for your club!
