Tom Brady says he's 'actually a good sport' after signing a ball Dre Greenlaw intercepted

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw said he had a "fangirl" moment when Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady signed a ball that he intercepted.

The encounter was less pleasant for Brady.

"It was (expletive) for me, to be honest," joked Brady, who was joined by comedians Adam Sandler, Bill Burr and Tracy Morgan. "It was complete (expletive). But I try to be a gentleman."

The seven-time Super Bowl champion described the moment on his "Let’s Go!" podcast on Monday, one day after the 49ers dominated the Buccaneers, 35-7, near Brady's hometown in Santa Clara. To put it simply, he said they got their "(expletive) kicked."

Brady threw for 253 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, one of which was a beautiful tipped-to-himself play from Greenlaw.

With the Bucs down 35-0 with 9:50 left in the third quarter, Greenlaw intercepted Brady's pass intended for Mike Evans. Greenlaw took that ball back to the bench with him and  brought it back to the legendary quarterback after the game for his John Hancock.

"It was a great play he made. I’m happy he’s got the ball," Brady said. "I wish I didn’t throw it but I’m trying to be a good sport. Because a lot of times I’m not a good sport. I can be a pretty bad sport. In the moment when they get me in the right frame of mind I’m actually a good sport."

The exchange was caught on camera and widely shared online. Sandler joked, "You looked nice, Tommy, when you were signing the ball. There were a lot of cameras on you, too. You were forced into that one."

Greenlaw said he wasn't intimated to ask Brady to sign the ball because, "the worst thing he could tell me is no."

"I was always told, if you don't ask, you’ll never know," Greenlaw said after the game.     "(Brady) is a good guy to be able to sign that ball after he threw the pick. That’s big time. I appreciate it. He is the greatest. He’s the GOAT."
