Tom Brady says he'd return to the NFL under very specific conditions.

Given a scenario by barber VicBlends on his YouTube show, DEEPCUT, the former NFL quarterback, 46, said he's "not opposed" to suiting up for a football game again if certain teams called him up in desperate need of a quarterback heading into the playoffs.

"I'm not opposed to it ... I don't know if they would let me if I become an owner in an NFL team but ... " he said, naming the San Francisco 49ers, the Las Vegas Raiders, and his former team, the New England Patriots.

"I'm always going to be in good shape. [I'll] always be able to throw the ball, so ... to come in for a little bit like MJ coming back," he said, referring to Michael Jordan, who retired from the NBA but returned to the league multiple times, most recently in 2001.

"I don't know if they'd let me, but I wouldn't be opposed to it," Brady reiterated.

The situation that VicBlends described would be extreme, and elsewhere in the interview, Brady appeared to be focused on ventures outside of football.

"My career and all that, that's a thing of the past in my mind," Brady admitted.

"I was a gladiator out there, now my time's moved on," he continued. "Now it's like, 'Okay, how can I deliver for my next group of teammates.?' " he said, citing his footwear company NOBULL and Fox Broadcasting Company, who he signed with in 2022. Brady will begin commentating on NFL games in the upcoming 2024-25 season.
