Tom Brady Goes Shirtless as He Has a Football Catch with Son Jack on the Beach: ‘See How the ‘Ol Arm Feels’
Brady's son Jack also plays football as a quarterback at his high school
Tom Brady is getting in some drive time with his son John "Jack" Edward Thomas.
The retired NFL player, 47, shared a look at a recent catch he had with his eldest son — who also plays football as a quarterback in high school — while on a beach in a tropical locale.
In the set of photos Brady posted on Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 7, he could be seen in black khaki swim trunks testing out his throwing arm as he threw a football across the beach to his 17-year-old, who wore beige trunks.
It appeared that Jack also got an opportunity to show off his skills, as he could also be seen throwing the football in the air toward some teammates. In the final shot, the proud father could be seen getting ready to pass the football to his son.

“The playoffs roll around and you can’t help but see how the ol’ arm feels 😂,” Brady captioned the photos.
The former NFL pro shares Jack with his ex-girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan. He also shares son Benjamin Rein, 15, and daughter Vivian Lake, 12, with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
Both Brady and his eldest son share a love for football, and besides playing as a quarterback for his high school football team, Jack has also held other roles in football including being the Buccaneers' ball boy when his father played for the team.
Brady previously opened up in October 2022 about what it meant to him for his son to share his passion for the sport and noted that since they both enjoyed the game, he could pass on the things he knew.
"I love watching him play quarterback because I think there's very few things in life that I could probably help him with," the former athlete said on his podcast. "You know, I don't have a lot of specialties in life other than probably throwing the football."
Brady added: "He's way smarter. He's got a great work ethic. He's just a great kid. But I can definitely help him at quarterback."
Back in August, the seven-time Super Bowl winner celebrated Jack’s 17th birthday with a tribute post dedicated to him alongside photos of the teen over the past year. He also included a sweet father-son snap of the two playing golf.
"Happy 17th birthday to the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful 17-year-old, I know. You are truly a blessing in my life and I am so grateful to watch you mature into a young man," Brady wrote alongside the pictures.
"I love spending every minute with you and I cherish our time together. (Those are all my favorite things about you. My least favorite is that you can beat me in one on one now 🙄😂)," he joked, ending his post by wishing his son a happy birthday and saying he'll love him forever.
