Tom Brady Does Savage Impression Of Bill Belichick To Mock College Job Search
Tom Brady called the prospect of Bill Belichick recruiting young football players as a college coach “frightening” ― and the QB great gave a funny impression of his old coach doing so. (Watch the video below.)
The former New England Patriots coach, who won six Super Bowl titles with Brady as his quarterback, reportedly has interviewed for the University of North Carolina coaching vacancy.
But Brady clearly thinks the 72-year-old Belichick might not be a good fit for the ever-evolving college ranks.
Asked on Fox Sports Sunday if he could imagine Belichick coaching at that level, Brady replied, “No. I think there’s a lot of things he could do and honestly he’s tremendous. ... But getting out there on the recruiting trail and dealing with all these college kids, that would be frightening.”
Another former Patriot, Julian Edelman, chimed in: “Can you imagine Bill on a couch recruiting an 18-year-old?”
That’s when Brady picked apart Belichick’s sometimes-dour demeanor with an impression that went viral.
“Listen, do you really wanna come here?” Brady said in imitating Belichick. “We don’t want you anyway. But I guess you could come. We’ll figure out if you play.”
The bit got big laughs in the Fox Sports studio.
