Summer has officially started and that means it’s time for festivals in South Carolina.
With the warmer, sunny weather, the next few months will be packed to the packed to the brim with outdoor festivals of all kinds. Whether its a celebration of flowers, a chance to listen to country music or taste a variety of wine, there will likely be a festival for you.
Here are five of the best festivals scheduled during June in South Carolina.
Carolina Country Music Festival
When: June 8-11

The Carolina Country Music Festival brings more than 40 of country music’s top artists to perform in Myrtle Beach every year and 2023 will be no different. Some of those in the lineup include Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Brooks & Dunn, Travis Tritt and Whiskey Myers. If you’re looking for four days of continuous country music entertainment, then this festival is definitely for you.
South Carolina Festival of Flowers
When: June 8-11

Celebrating its 56th year, the Festival of Flowers attracts avid gardeners from across the U.S. Every year, the festival features the fan favorite topiary display in uptown Greenwood. Past years have included, a giant elephant, a mermaid and even a Safari Jeep.
Other events this year will include an exploration of celestial bodies at the local museum, a garden symposium, an arts and crafts show, community theatre performances, garden tours, food tastings, an ice cream social and more.

Greenville Summer Wine Festival
When: June 10
Where: Greenville at Fluor Field

This event will be a first for the Greenville area, but it promises to be one wine lovers won’t want to miss. There will be more than 50 different wines to try, a variety of food options, live music and a DJ. There will also be a wide selection of beers from different breweries for those who might not be the biggest wine fans.
Raggaetronic Lake Murray Music Festival

The Raggaetronic returns for its 10th year on Lake Murray. The outdoor festival is a celebration of music and togetherness, the event’s website states. The festival features reggae, funk, rock and electronic music. It’s also the longest-running flotilla music festival in South Carolina.
The festival’s lineup this year includes Artikal Sound System from South Florida, DJ Madds and Of Good Nature from Charlotte.
South Carolina Sunflower Festival
When: June 24, 25
Where: Denver Downs Farm

Denver Downs Farm is again hosting its annual Sunflower Festival. The farm has planted several acres-worth of sunflowers. There will be dozens of varieties that visitors will be able to stroll through, pick and photograph.
The event will also feature more than 30 attractions, activities and yard games. You’ll also have the chance to visit farm animals, enjoy tasty food and listen to live music.
