In the history of the NHL, only four teams have ever come back from a 3-0 deficit. Of those four, only the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs achieved that feat during the Stanley Cup Finals.

Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers have a chance to join the Maple Leafs. After dropping the first three games of the series to the Florida Panthers, the Edmonton Oilers have clawed back to even for Game 7 in Florida. Three-time MVP Connor McDavid has undoubtedly been the star of this comeback. While he did not record a point in Edmonton's Game 6 victory, McDavid's 42 points throughout these playoffs are the most since Mario Lemieux (44) in 1991, and we still have Game 7 to go.

It's unlikely that McDavid breaks the all-time record for points in a postseason. That record belongs to Wayne Gretzky, because of course it does, who recorded 47 points during the 1985 playoffs. McDavid would need five to tie and six to take the record for himself.

That's not an impossible task. After all, McDavid recorded five points in a game once already in these playoffs – Game 1 of Edmonton's opening round series against the Los Angeles Kings. However, to do so in the Stanley Cup Finals would be a huge ask. It's only happened seven times in history, and only once since the end of World War II (1990, Jari Kurri). If anyone can do it though, it's McDavid.

Of course, winning the game itself remains the most important item on McDavid's agenda. Here's what time Game 7 will start.
