Former Ipswich Town player, Mick Mills discussed Ipswich Town's 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth, on the recent episode of BBC Radio Suffolk, Final Whistle: "The first half was outstanding. We started off with five minutes of exchanges with Bournemouth fighting for possession. They were pressing quick and hard and we squirmed out of those situations nicely and kept hold of the ball and almost said to Bournemouth, 'you've got a tough game today'.

"We put the pressure on them and it was a great performances in the first half from some individuals. Conor Chaplin was one and Cameron Burgess without doubt and then you've got Liam Delap, who joined us and has been outstanding, those three were unbelievable.

"In the second half, it's difficult to understand why you can be right up there having a great performance and then come out looking second best. We got through to the 70th minute. We hadn't played well, but we got through it without conceding. There were signs they [Bournemouth] were getting frustrated and we were beginning to improve.

"Slowly but surely, we were getting to the end of the game and it felt like we were going to win and get the first three points of the season, but then a big mistake.

"It was a big mistake. You should never ever come to deal with a ball that is on the ground just entering the box over in the left-hand corner of the penalty area. There were three Town players close enough to stop that player. There was no reason for the goalkeeper [Arijanet Muric] to come. He has to work these things out.

"Muric is an OK goalkeeper. I don't think he's an improvement of what we've had last season. Christian Walton he's the most patient guy in the world. I believe Walton deserves an opportunity. How many mistakes does Muric have to make for Christian to get his chance? This is one too many for me."
