David "El Monstro" Benavídez is set to make his highly-anticipated debut at 175 pounds for the Interim WBC Light Heavyweight title in the co-main event on the Gervonta Davis vs. Frank Martin fight card. His opponent, former light heavyweight world champion Oleksandr "The Nail" Gvozdyk, is no stranger to the ring. The stage is set for a thrilling showdown on Saturday, a fight that promises to be a must-watch event.

Mexican-American Benavídez made history after becoming the youngest super middleweight champion in 2017, defeating Ronald Gavril via split decision. Despite a setback, being suspended for six months after testing positive for benzoylecgonine, he made a comeback in 2019, knocking out J'Leon Love in the second round. With an undefeated record of 28-0, including 24 knockouts, Benavídez is a force to be reckoned with as he prepares to face Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

Ukrainian native Gvozdyk is attempting to make a comeback of his own and is on an impressive winning streak as he sets his sights on becoming a two-time world champion. He has won his last three bouts, and his most recent loss was against Artur Beterbiev by TKO in Round 10 in 2019. Gvozdyk enters the ring with a 20-1 record with 16 knockouts, setting the stage for a thrilling bout.
