Tim Tebow and wife Demi-Leigh announce they're expecting first child
Tim Tebow is going to be a father.
The former Florida and Denver Broncos quarterback and his wife Demi-Leigh Tebow announced Tuesday they were expecting their first child, showing off an ultrasound and a baby bump in a tender video on Instagram.
The Tebows first met in 2018, while Tim was attempting to carve out a career as both a college football broadcaster and a minor league baseball player. A year earlier, Demi-Leigh won the Miss Universe pageant after being crowned Miss South Africa.
The pair got engaged in 2019 and married in 2020.
Demi-Leigh told People she is currently 16 weeks pregnant:
"I'm so grateful because I just couldn't imagine a better life partner to do life with first and foremost," says the former Miss Universe, who's now 16 weeks pregnant. "To be able to raise a little tiny human being together. I'm so grateful that Tim is my husband... that we get to do parenting together."
The former NFL quarterback, who was calling in from Dallas amid his College Football Playoff responsibilities, says the thought of becoming a dad hasn't yet settled in completely. "But when I'm with her and I see the belly growing, then it just becomes so real," he raves.
It has been 12 years since Tebow appeared in an NFL game, but the former Heisman winner remains a well-known personality in the football world, in both the NFL and college ranks. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023 and currently works as an analyst for the SEC Network.
