Tiger Woods reps NHL's Golden Knights by sporting some ugly spikes
From his patented āSunday redā to his perfectly-curved caps, Tiger Woodsā on-course style ranks right up there with the all-time greats.
Friday, however, was a black mark on an otherwise Hall of Fame golf-fashion career. Woods was caught rocking some horrendous looking spikes for the highly-anticipated (I think?) 1-on-1 , head-to-head event with Phil Mickelson, also known as āThe Match.ā
Tigerās excuse for getting caught in public in those things? He was honouring the NHLās Golden Knights and the city of Las Vegas, of course.

The Golden Knights social team was pretty fired up upon hearing the news that Tiger did indeed give the second-year franchise a shoutout before teeing off against Lefty on No. 1, but to be honest Iām not so sure I buy it.
My theory is as such: Tiger woke up in a daze this morning after him and Phil did some pre-match exploring of the Vegas Strip last night. He threw on the rattiest pair of kicks that happened to be poking out from beneath his hotel bed, in pitch darkness, as he stumbled out the door, only to realize once he got to the course the terrible mistake he had made.
Upon being pelted with a barrage of questions from reporters wondering what possessed Tiger to wear those spiked abominations during such a publicized match, Woods brilliantly uttered three glorious woulds that would justify everything and immediately get Sin City on his side ā Vegas. Golden. Knights.
Brilliant damage control, my dude.
