This is the most amazing statistic you'll see about the sad Jaguars

We couldn’t believe this statistic when we first saw it. But it’s true. Amazingly, sadly true.

Yes, Jacksonville Jaguars fans, your team is struggling. We did the math, and it adds up. They have faced five teams — the Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans — since the bye and forced nary a turnover. You’d think they would have lucked into one at some point.

Coincidentally, the Jaguars’ last turnover forced was against … Andrew Luck. They picked him off once back in Week 4. Week 4!! This is Week 11 coming up. Over the past 363 minutes and 27 seconds of game action, that pick of Luck is the Jaguars’ only turnover forced. We miss you, last Jaguars turnover. Please come back.

And the part about holding the lead is true, too. The Jaguars beat the Bears in Week 6 but only took the lead for the final 2:49 of the game. That’s the last lead the Jaguars have had. Even the 0-10 Cleveland Browns held a lead for almost 12 minutes — in the last game alone!

Too often, the Jaguars offense struggles early and piles up garbage yards too late in losses that are not as close as the score would indicate. A lot of the blame has been put on Blake Bortles, and rightfully so, but this is team-wide futility we’re talking about here.

For perspective, the Jaguars have a lot of expensive and homegrown talent on both sides of the ball, but especially on defense. They’ve drafted 10 players — including five in the top three rounds — who play on that side of the ball and have high-priced free-agent signees such as Malik Jackson, Tashaun Gipson, Sen-Derrick Marks, Paul Posluszny, Davon House and others, too. But the results are just stunningly bad under first-year defensive coordinator Todd Wash.

Head coach Gus Bradley cut his teeth as a defensive coach. But if the Jaguars don’t start fixing this insane streak, Bradley’s legs are going to get cut out very quickly.
