‘I think’: Amorim is told what to do with ‘unstoppable’ Man Utd ace after bombshell interview

Manchester United are looking to offload Marcus Rashford in this transfer window.

The 27-year-old dropped a bombshell in an interview after manager Ruben Amorim axed him from the squad that faced Manchester City.

He made it clear he was ready for a “new challenge” elsewhere.

Man United legend Paul Scholes gave his brutally honest opinion on the Rashford saga.

He said (via The Overlap): “I think Marcus has let a lot of people down really, with his attitude, and I think that’s what the manager is trying to say.

“You think of the young players coming through the team, think of (Alejandro) Garnacho, they’re looking up to people like Marcus now – he’s 27 years of age, and he’s clearly not training properly.

“OK, he’s not refusing to play, but in the way he’s behaving and the way he’s training, in a way he is saying I don’t want to be involved with these.

“So I think the fact of letting your team-mates down in that dressing room – he should be banished from the dressing room really.

“If he’s in and around that and young people are seeing that as an example, the sooner he’s gone the better.”

Rashford no longer deserves a place in the squad

With just six days left to secure a move, the England international is in a race against time.

His preferred destination is Barcelona, but their financial turmoil casts doubt on the deal.

AC Milan were considered as the front-runners but they have signed Kyle Walker, leaving no room for another British player.

Borussia Dortmund remain in the picture, though their recent managerial upheaval has left Rashford’s future in limbo.

The United academy star has been part of the training sessions even after being excluded from 11 of the last 12 matchday squads.

Scholes is right with his verdict to banish Rashford.

He should be a role model for the youngsters during these turbulent times but it seems like maturity does not come with age.

Described as ‘unstoppable‘ earlier, Rashford has left Amorim unimpressed due to his work ethic.

The Portuguese coach warned the forward that he would rather have the goalkeeping coach in the squad over a player who isn’t fully committed to giving his all for the team.
