Manchester United defender Luke Shaw says "everyone is really pleased" that manager Erik ten Hag has signed a new contract at the club.

Speaking in Germany before England's Euro 2024 semi-final against the Netherlands on Wednesday, he said: "It wasn’t really a surprise as I think he was always going to sign.

"Everyone is really pleased with him staying. If you look at the past two years, he has had a trophy in each season. There has been a bit of success and there is definitely more to come.

"With the boss signing a new contract and the new owners coming in, things are looking really positive.

"There's a big buzz around the place."
