Manchester United would seem to be setting their sights on Serie A again for January, with reports of interest in Milan outcast Theo Hernandez and Atalanta midfielder Ederson.

The Old Trafford directors have long seen Italian football as a valuable hunting ground for their transfers, spending big on Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana, Amad Diallo and Joshua Zirkzee.

According to DAZN Italia, the latest big target is Theo Hernandez, who they believe can resolve their left-back issues.

It is more likely than ever before to be possible, seeing as the France international is heading for his second consecutive match on the bench at Milan following a disagreement with coach Paulo Fonseca.

His contract is also running down in June 2026 and there are already suggestions in the Italian media that he will be offered a renewal, but could be allowed to leave if a good offer comes in of over €50m.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports Deutschland also claim that Manchester United are repeatedly scouting Atalanta midfielder Ederson.

The Brazilian is already known to be admired by Manchester City and Liverpool with a price-tag of at least €60m, but Atalanta are highly unlikely to let him leave mid-season.

There is no alternative to him in Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad and the player himself seems in no real hurry to walk away from Bergamo either.
