Hyped Texas QB commit Arch Manning leads high school team to massive comeback win

All eyes are on high school quarterback and Texas commit Arch Manning as he plays out his senior year of high school, and on Friday night in New Orleans he did not disappoint.

Manning, a five-star recruit and part of the Manning football dynasty, led Isidore Newman to an epic comeback victory against Benton, winning 54-52 after being down 18 points at the half.

The first half was forgettable for Isidore Newman, as you might imagine. Manning threw zero touchdown passes in the first and second quarters, and the team went into the locker room down 32-14. When they came back out for the second half, they were on a mission and Manning would be the one to lead it.

The second half began with Manning spearheading a touchdown drive, and while Benton scored in the next drive, the fire had been ignited in Manning and it couldn't be put out. According to Orangebloods, Manning did it all.

Manning put his talent on full display in an incredible third quarter performance. The future Longhorns signal caller delivered accurate passes to all over the field, extended plays with his legs, and took complete control of the football game en route to a come-from-behind victory.

Here are a few of those plays.

Manning finished the game completing 22 of 38 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns. After the game, he complimented the opposing team and said he and his teammates always believed they could win.

“[Benton] was a really well coached team — a big program from Shreveport. The message at halftime was to not panic, we knew we could win this game,” Manning told Orangebloods shortly after the clock ran out. “We came out in the second half and did just that. And it was awesome.”
