Teven Jenkins believes Matt Eberflus firing was welcome change for Bears
Matt Eberflus has gone and left the building at Halas Hall, and now with the Chicago Bears moving forward with Thomas Brown as interim head coach, players are giving their thoughts on their former coach.
Many veteran players have come out and shared their thoughts following Eberflus' dismissal and, on Wednesday, offensive lineman Teven Jenkins joined the list.
When asked by a reporter after practice if the vibe in the locker room was that the change at head coach was a welcoming one, Jenkins would not throw his old coach under the bus. Showing respect to Eberflus and not diving too deep while answering the question, Jenkins said that yes, he agreed the locker room welcomed the change of firing Eberflus.
"Yeah, I love Flus, but I feel like the first point you just said (a welcome change), it was very accurate," Jenkins said.

The overall consensus is that the locker room is in a much better place with the departure of Eberflus, now the most important order of business is getting wins. Brown will have an opportunity for an early job interview, and how he fares over the team's final five games will be crucial for his campaign to become the next permanent head coach.
