You can test drive electric cars and eat free BBQ at this Sacramento weekend event

Are you looking for an activity for the entire family this weekend?

You don’t have to leave Sacramento for this one.

McClatchy Park will be decked out Saturday with free barbecue, games, prizes and electric vehicles at this year’s Celebrate Oak Park, according to the city of Sacramento. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Celebrate Oak Park will also feature STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) activities:

  • Learn how to make a flashlight

  • UNO with mathematical concepts

  • Art projects

  • Music and art production

  • Paper-rocket launcher

Adults will be able to test drive electric vehicles and take cooking classes.

Oak Park Farmer’s Market will remain at McClatchy Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday as well.
