Tessmann: Inter agree terms with Venezia for USMNT international midfielder

Inter have reportedly agreed terms with Venezia for the permanent transfer of USMNT midfielder Tanner Tessmann according to Thursday’s reports.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Tessmann is set to join Inter on a permanent deal, before returning to Venezia on loan for the 2024-25 season. Venezia will compete in the top flight this term after winning the two-legged Serie B play-off final against Cremonese at the beginning of June.

Inter youngster Gaetano Oristanio, who spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan with Cagliari, is set to join Venezia on a permanent transfer as part of the deal.

All parties, including both Inter and Venezia, as well as Tessmann himself, have all agreed to the move, according to Romano’s update.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been in Italy since the summer of 2021, joining Venezia upon their last promotion to Serie A.

He made 20 appearances in the top division in 2021-22, before suffering relegation along with the rest of the squad. Since then, he has been an ever-present in the centre of the park, featuring in 37 Serie B matches in 2023-24.

Tessman has represented the United States twice at senior international level, once in 2021 and again in 2023.
