Teams Reportedly Doing Their Homework On J.T. Miller Before Rushing Into A Trade
There’s a lot to unpack with the Vancouver Canucks, but all of this drama started with a reported feud between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson.
Now, Miller or Pettersson are likely to be traded sooner rather than later.
The thing is, nobody actually really knows how this tension was sparked, so teams are reportedly doing their due diligence on Miller before diving into serious trade talks.
“Don’t think teams aren’t doing their homework here, making sure they understand what’s going on in Vancouver. Why hasn’t this worked for J.T.? How much of this is he responsible for?,” TSN’s Darren Dreger said.
The New York Rangers have been a team linked to have interest in Miller.
Despite trade conversations between the Rangers and Canucks reportedly originally falling through, that does not mean the Blueshirts are out of the Miller sweepstakes.
The NHL Trade Deadline is set for Mar. 7 as speculation revolving around the Rangers and Canucks should continue to heat up.
