TCU football lands first transfer portal commitment
TCU landed its first transfer portal commitment on Sunday.
Washington State defensive lineman Ansel Din-Mbuh signed with the Horned Frogs after completing his visit to campus over the weekend. After playing in 10 games as a freshman, the sophomore had a strong season for the Cougars as he led the team in sacks with six and also added 24 tackles.
Listed at 6-foot-3, 291 pounds, Din-Mbuh was a three-star prospect coming out of Aledo. Din-Mbuh helped lead the Bearcats to 5A Division I state championship in 2022 with four sacks and 17 quarterback pressures.
Din-Mbuh fills an obvious need for TCU as another experienced edge rusher in the front seven. Din-Mbuh could be a plug and play starter on the defensive line.
TCU will continue to aggressively pursue experienced receivers and front seven defensive players in the portal. Texas State defensive tackle Dominique Ratcliff reported an offer from the Horned Frogs on Sunday.
Ratcliff is a run stopper interior defensive line that has plenty of experience after three seasons with the Bobcats and one at Louisiana.
TCU is also reportedly going to host Marshall linebacker Jaden Yates on a visit. Yates had 115 tackles (33 solo) and forced two fumbles this season while helping lead the Thundering Herd to a Sun Belt Conference championship.
