Taylor Swift says ‘Florida!!!’ Now there are parties across state. How to go and listen

Even non-Swifties know Taylor Swift album releases are major events.

Fans flock to stores on release day to do the unthinkable: purchase physical copies of her albums that come in multiple collectible versions. We see them as we stand in line at Target.

But we can’t recall one of her projects generating so many local album release parties as her coming “The Tortured Poets Department.” Several are scheduled in Florida.

Perhaps it helps that Swift has a song titled “Florida!!!” on the album that no one outside of her team and the song’s guest vocalist Florence Welch (and assuredly beau Travis Kelce) has heard yet. “Poets” drops on April 19.

Apparently, Florida is as excited as the three exclamation points on the track indicate and the events are mounting. Here’s what to know:

Where are the ‘Poets’ listening parties?

The latest: Le Petite Fête, an Orlando events planning company that hosts dance parties at clubs, has scheduled a series of Taylor Swift album release parties themed around “The Tortured Poets Department.” Wynwood’s Gramps hosts a 21-and-older listening party hours before the album’s release that will last beyond the midnight streaming and download debut of the music. In addition to the Miami event, Orlando, Jacksonville and Tampa are in on the festivities.

The listening tour also hits Atlanta, Baltimore and Richmond.

According to Le Petite Fête spokesman Joe Culotta’s media release, the “immersive and enchanting experience” will feature themes and motifs and decor and refreshments inspired by “The Tortured Poets Department.”

We can’t wait to see how the album’s black-and-white cover image — the star in repose in black lingerie, see-through top and high waist shorts from fashion designers The Row and Yves Saint Laurent, “Florida!!!” and “Fresh Out the Slammer” figure in Le Petite’s enchanted plans for Florida’s Swift-hailing evenings.

These events are not affiliated with or sponsored by Swift or her team.

The sweet treats start at 11 p.m. April 18 at the venue at 163 NW 25th St. That party caters to the ears and tummies with the unveiling of a Taylor Swift-themed cookie, a Lavender Haze cocktail named for the opening track on her previous album, “Midnights,” and two ice creams: one inspired by the still mysterious “Florida!!!” and a honey-lavender twist on “Lavender Haze.”
