By now you’re probably familiar with the Mannequin Challenge. Perhaps you’ve even attempted it with your friends or co-workers. If for some reason you’re not though, it’s a viral video trend which requires participants to remain frozen in action like mannequins while someone wielding a camera seamlessly weaves through the scene.

The phenomenon has been going strong for over a month now. The early postings, which mainly consisted of small groups of college students, have evolved into major productions involving politicians, entertainment groups, sports teams and even professional athletes with their friends, family and fans.

Among them now is New York Mets infielder T.J. Rivera, who along with Mr. Met and a prominent group of Mets fans known as the 7 Line Army, recently owned the challenge at Citi Field.

Bravo, everyone. Bravo.

The scene itself is pretty creative and the attention to detail is excellent too. The fan taking the selfie in particular is a nice touch. Beyond that, the execution is stellar as all involved stand their ground and hold their pose for well over 30 seconds.

Trust us, folks. It’s not nearly as easy as they made it look. To pull that off requires concentration, determination, and as the Mariner Moose will tell you, turning off your cell phone.
