‘Can’t happen again’ – La Liga to contact Barcelona over starlet’s social media blunder

The powers that be at La Liga are ready to send a message of warning to Barcelona.

This comes owing to the latest social media activity on the part of Blaugrana midfield starlet Fermín López.

Youngster Fermín has for his part seen his name take its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain over the course of the last 48 hours.

Unfortunately for the 21-year-old, though, this has come for all the wrong reasons.

Whilst watching on from home as his teammates got the better of Valencia in their La Liga season opener on Saturday night, Fermín unveiled a post on Instagram, showing his support for Hansi Flick’s squad.

What the midfielder failed to realise, however, was that in doing so, he also revealed that he was watching Barcelona’s fixture via an illegal streaming service.

Upon Fermín deleting his post a short time later, the damage had been done, with fans having been quick to highlight the situation online.

From here, it did not take at all long for word to reach the La Liga offices, and president Javier Tebas.

And, amid their ongoing push back against illegal streaming, Tebas and co. were left less than impressed…

In turn, as per a report from Relevo:

‘LaLiga will express its concern to Barcelona about what happened and the example it sets to prevent a situation like this from happening again. It cannot happen again.’
