There’s an awful lot of New York Mets fans spending their July 4th holiday in Toronto, Canada for some reason.
Are they here to rub in the fact that Blue Jays legend Jose Bautista now belongs to the Mets? Or maybe they’re just in town to show solidarity with their northern neighbours in displaying appreciation for Joey Bats’ legendary tenure in Toronto during his first games back in the city he called home for a decade? Do they want John Tavares back? Or was it just the perfect time for a mid-summer, baseball road trip?
"We the north on the 4th" … gotta admit that's pretty creative. Welcome to Toronto, #Mets fans! pic.twitter.com/E4ocxNsZ2h

Regardless of the motive, the facts remain the same: There was a boatload of orange-laden Mets fans prancing around the city ahead of New York’s series-closer against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
Accompanied by a couple crowd-containing Toronto Police officers, the herd marched through the downtown core waiving American and Mets flags while projecting the ever-so-familiar “JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE,” chant as they made their way to Rogers Centre for the second of a two-game clash at The Dome.
Blue Jays supporters apparently aren’t the only ones infatuated with The Legend himself.
