Morgan Geekie was the hero for the Bruins in this contest, as he scored the game-winning goal with 1:45 left in the third period. Geekie's goal was a beauty, too, as he blasted a one-timer past Sabres goalie James Reimer.

With this game-winner, Geekie now has three goals and four points over his last four contests and seven points over his last eight games.
Seeing this kind of production from Geekie is excellent, especially when noting that he struggled mightily at the beginning of the season. However, he is now turning his season around with his hot stretch of play, and the Bruins are benefitting greatly from it.
It will now be interesting to see how well Geekie can build on his excellent play from here. He is showing no signs of slowing down and starting to mesh incredibly well into the Bruins' top six.
