Superstar Forward Reaches 200-Point Mark As A Golden Knight

Superstar forward Jack Eichel has recorded 200 points with the Vegas Golden Knights after his two-assist performance against the Minnesota Wild.

The Golden Knights acquired Eichel back on Nov. 4, 2021, and is in the midst of his fourth season with the team. He's dealt with numerous injuries, which forced him to miss 82 games in his first three seasons with the team. This year, in his fourth season with the franchise, he's been healthy and is playing at Hart Trophy finalist level, scoring nine goals and 42 points in 31 games.

In his Golden Knights career, the 28-year-old has played 195 games, scoring 81 goals and 201 points. He's won a Stanley Cup with the Golden Knights and has become not only a premier offensive player but one of the best two-way forwards in the NHL.

Following the team's 3-2 over the Wild, Eichel spoke about reaching the 200-point mark.

"Time flies when you're having fun," said the Golden Knights' leading scorer. "It's been an amazing time here with this organization, and I had no idea, so it's pretty cool."

Mark Stone might wear the "C" on his jersey as the captain of the team, but there isn't any doubt that Eichel is a leader in the locker room and on the ice. When asked about how proud he was of the group for their 2-1-0 record on their three-game road trip against three of the best teams in the Western Conference, Eichel could only praise his teammates.

"Resiliency. We stuck with it, obviously, we played three good hockey teams. I felt like all the games were pretty tight, even in Edmonton, granted, we were down 5-0, but we felt like we were never out of it. A lot of contributions and found different ways to win. Going into the third period on the road here on a back-to-back, a lot of character from the group for finding a way to get a goal and hold on to the lead. Happy to end the road trip and head home."

Eichel has been dominant for the Golden Knights during the 2024-25 campaign, and the Golden Knights may have been in a different spot by now if Eichel hadn't stepped up and thrived under the pressure that was placed on him before the start of the season.
