Sunderland enquire about Roma midfielder Enzo Le Fée

AS Roma midfielder Enzo Le Fée (24) could reunite with former Lorient head coach Régis Le Bris at Sunderland, according to a report from Il Messaggero. The former France youth international has fallen out of favor under new manager Claudio Ranieri despite only arriving last summer from Stade Rennais over a €23m move. Le Fée is yet to register a single contribution with the Giallorossi, totaling only 460 minutes of game time since last summer.

Roma seem intent on moving on from Le Fée as talks have started with Real Betis. Le Parisien reported that the Verdiblancos wanted to test Roma’s resolve to keep Le Fée, but talks have reportedly broken down. Now Il Messagero reports that Sunderland’s Black Cats have set their sights on Le Fée, as well as several Ligue 1 clubs.

It would not be a surprise if Le Bris gave Sunderland a glowing report of Le Fée, considering the former coached the latter at Lorient, Le Fée’s formative club.
