According to Florian Plettenberg, Stuttgart have begun talks to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

It had previously been reported that Stuttgart were looking to add further attacking reinforcements to their squad this summer, with Broja being one of the candidates.

However, Die Roten now appear to be pushing for the Albanian international’s signature.

It is understood that talks are still in the early stages, and nothing as of yet is advanced.

Nevertheless, the Bundesliga runners-up are still looking to secure a deal with Chelsea due to the possibility of losing Mohamed Sankoh and Luca Pfeiffer this summer.

This would see Broja play as a backup to Stuttgart’s record signing Deniz Undav from Brighton and Ermedin Demirović, who was signed from Augsburg earlier in the transfer window.

Last season, Broja featured 27 times in the Premier League over spells with Chelsea and Fulham, where he scored two goals and collected one assist.
