Manchester United will host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League tomorrow.

Erik ten Hag has rotated Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho while giving a longer rope to Amad Diallo.

The Ivorian has started four of the five Premier League games this campaign and all eyes are on him to deliver.

His performances have shown promise but the end product has been elusive. With only one goal and one assist, Diallo must do more to keep hold of his starting spot.

While his occasional surges down the right flank have unsettled the opposition’s defence, his actions must translate into more decisive contributions.

Those flashes of brilliance are tantalising but United need more than just a few moments.

Diallo must cultivate a positive arrogance in his game, much like Garnacho exudes.

When the Argentine steps onto the field, he instantly electrifies the atmosphere.

His confidence is palpable and it feels like he is the one who can turn the tides in United’s favour.

There is no doubt that Diallo is a fantastic talent. He is a technical winger with excellent vision and trickery.

As a forward, the hallmark of success lies in adding goals and assists to your tally.

He needs to embrace a bit of selfishness and take more risks. There are moments when he hesitates, searching for the perfect pass instead of taking the shot himself.

While teamwork is essential, being a forward means knowing when to seize the moment and go for the goal.

Good is not good enough at Man United.

The intense media scrutiny and lofty expectations mean that only the exceptional can stand out.

He needs to develop a fearless mindset or he will never reach his true potential.
