Strasbourg retain interest in Porto’s Gonçalo Borges
Gonçalo Borges (23) had looked set to join RC Strasbourg Alsace during the summer window, however, he opted to remain with his formative club, Porto. Determined to establish himself as a first-team regular at the Portuguese side, he has nonetheless struggled for game time this season, making just one start in the league and just one start in the UEFA Europa League. He does, however, have two goals and one assist for the club this season.
However, according to a report from Foot Mercato, Strasbourg have retained the interest that they held in the summer and a move this month cannot be ruled out. For now, however, no offer has been made for Borges, whose contract with Porto runs until the summer of 2027.
