Stingrays Announce Time Change For Game Vs. Everblades

As winter weather continues to bear down on cities across North America, an ECHL game on Friday is being affected.

The South Carolina Stingrays announced Thursday that the time of their home game against the Florida Everblades on Friday has been moved from 7:05 Pm ET to 3:05 Pm ET due to inclement weather.

All tickets originally purchased for the 7:05 game will be honored. Fans who are unable to attend the rescheduled time are encouraged to call the Stingrays front office to exchange their tickets for a future game.

The Rays swept all three of their games last week to move into second place in the South Division. They are currently six points behind the Everblades, so the Friday matchup is a chance for them to move closer to the defending Kelly Cup champions. It will be the final meeting between the two teams this season.

Florida took two out of three from the Savannah Ghost Pirates last week, including a 5-3 come-from-behind victory last Saturday. The game in North Charleston is the first of three road games for the Everblades, who will travel to Savannah for a pair of games against the Ghost Pirates Saturday and Sunday.

The theme for Friday’s game is Country Night, with the first 1,000 fans entering North Charleston Coliseum receiving a Stingrays bandana.

On Saturday, the Rays face the Atlanta Gladiators for Coloring for a Cure Night presented by SERVPRO. The players will wear specialty jerseys to be auctioned off in support of the Landon Strong Foundation, which supports those who are affected by cancer along with their families.

Sunday’s game against the Reading Royals is the Stingrays’ annual Mascot Mania game, presented by Chipper Dog BBQ. Cool Ray will be celebrating his 32nd birthday, and mascots from around the Charleston region will also be in attendance.

Puck drop for Saturday’s game is set for 6:05 Pm ET, and Sunday’s contest is scheduled for 3:05 Pm.
