Former USC coach Steve Sarkisian was spotted by TMZ at LAX on Tuesday looking slim and happy and he entertained a brief interview.

During the interview, Sarkisian confirmed he’s going to be an analyst for Fox Sports 1 this upcoming football season, an opportunity he welcomes.

“Oh man, I love coaching, I love being around the game of football and Fox gave me an opportunity to be around it and we’ll see where it goes,” Sakisian said.

While Sarkisian, who was fired from USC last October amid issues with sobriety, didn’t mention his rehab specifically, he did say the time away from football has given him an opportunity to reevaluate his life.

“Life’s good,” Sarkisian said. “Just taking some time to focus on myself and do the things necessary in all aspects of my life. Been fortunate to have that time to do that and I feel really good.

“I think the biggest thing is to reevaluate yourself and you look at all aspects of your life and that’s what I was fortunate to do and it’s really paid off for me.”

Maybe after a year with Fox, Sarkisian might find himself back on a collegiate sideline.
