Stefano Pioli linked with Roma after De Rossi’s bad start
Daniele De Rossi’s underwhelming start to his first season as Roma’s head coach has stirred the rumor mill in Italian media.
Following the Giallorossi’s 1-1 draw with Genoa, more reports are coming out claiming De Rossi’s position at the club is not as firm as initially believed.
Earlier today, calciomercato.com suggested that Stefano Pioli may be a candidate that the Friedkins would be open to take into account if De Rossi were to prove to be unable to lead Roma any further.
The news portal states that Pioli – who is still under contract with Milan until 2025 – is without a team and has turned down approaches from the Saudi Pro League in order to stay in Italy.
Moreover, the news portal claims the ex-Milan manager is particularly intrigued by Roma and the club’s project and would be a good fit for the Giallorossi following his long experience with the Rossoneri.
