A remarkable statistic, highlighting the difference between the goalscoring numbers of La Liga giants Real Madrid either side of the half-time interval thus far this season, has come to the fore online.

This, of course, comes fresh off another rampant 2nd-half display on the part of Los Blancos late last night.

After welcoming Espanyol to Spain’s capital for a league clash, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops found themselves a goal down, shortly after the interval.

In true Real Madrid style, though, the European champions produced the goods just when it was required, to ultimately emerge on the right side of a dominant 4-1 scoreline.

And, as alluded to above, such exploits have since given rise to the most head-turning of statistics.

Across all competitions thus far this season, Real have racked up 18 goals.

Of these, however, just one came in the first-half, compared to a hefty 17 on the far side of the half-time break.
