Manchester City and Slovan Bratislava have named their starting lineups for tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash. Both teams will be looking for their first win of this season’s Champions League phase on match day 2 of the competition.

Pep Guardiola’s side will enter today’s match without four key players. Rodri, Nathan Ake, Oscar Bobb and Kevin De Bruyne will all miss today’s match due to injury. Of the quartet, only Kevin De Bruyne is set to return in the not-to-distant future. Pep Guardiola told the media yesterday that he is expecting De Bruyne to return after the upcoming international break. Ake, Bobb and Rodri are all out with long-term injuries.

Here are the starting lineups ahead of tonight’s Champions League match.

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola has made six changes to the starting lineup that drew with Newcastle. In comes Stefan Ortega, John Stones, Matheus Nunes, Savinho, Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku. Out goes Ederson, Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Mateo Kovacic, Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva who drop the bench for tonight’s match.

After picking up a knock against Newcastle Erling Haaland takes his place in City’s starting eleven. Haaland trained yesterday and is fit to play tonight’s match.

Starting lineup: Stefan Ortega, Lewis, Stones, Akanji, Gvardiol, Gundogan (C), Nunes, Savinho, Foden, Doku, Haaland.

Substitutes: Ederson, Carson, Walker, Dias, Kovacic, Grealish, Bernardo, McAtee.

Slovan Bratislava

Starting lineup: Takac, Kashia, Wimmer, Weiss, Tolic, Barseghyan, Bajric, Strelec, Blackman, Ihnatenko, Savvidis.
