The Toronto Maple Leafs have reportedly signed 2024 Stanley Cup and 2019 Calder Cup champion Steven Lorentz to a Professional Tryout Agreement.
Lorentz spent last season with the Florida Panthers where he scored three points in 38 regular season games before adding three more in 16 playoff games, helping the Panthers win the Stanley Cup.
The 28-year-old was originally selected in the seventh round of the 2015 NHL draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.

In parts of three AHL seasons with the Charlotte Checkers Lorentz recorded 26 goals and 55 points in 96 games.
In his 2019 Calder Cup winning season Lorentz started off in the ECHL and was recalled after a strong start to the year, he went on to play 29 games in the regular season and notched five points in 12 playoff games to capture the Calder Cup.
As just mentioned with @TheRog590, sounds like Stanley Cup champion Steven Lorentz is joining Toronto on a PTO

In 230 NHL games with the Carolina Hurricanes, San Jose Sharks, and Florida Panthers Lorentz has 21 goals and 43 points. He also has six points in 32 playoff games.
A high energy player with great size Lorentz should compete for a bottom-six role with Toronto. The Hockey News' Nick Barden further broke down Lorentz's fit with the Leafs here.
