Standouts From Week 8 Of The 2024-25 WHL Season
Welcome to THN's "WHL Standouts From The Week" article. In this weekly column, we highlight one player from each division who impressed over the last week. Here is a look at the four standouts from week eight.
Koehn Ziemmer- Prince George Cougars
All Koehn Ziemmer has done since returning from L.A. Kings' camp is score goals. During his three games last week, Ziemmer scored seven times while also adding an assist. With 17 goals in 13 games, Ziemmer is on pace to produce one of the greatest goal-scoring campaigns of the 21st Century.
Noah Chadwick- Lethbridge Hurricanes
Known mostly for his defensive play, Noah Chadwick was a big-time offensive contributor this week. The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect finished the week with five points in four games while also generating 11 shots. With 15 points in 16 games, captain Chadwick has stepped up in a big way so far this season.
Berkly Catton- Spokane Chiefs
Another captain who had a strong week was Berkly Catton. The Spokane Chiefs' center had eight points in three games, which included a four-point night against the Kelowna Rockets. Catton also eclipsed the 200-point mark for his career this past week and is now just 13 goals away from 100 in his career.
Ben Riche- Saskatoon Blades
Ben Riche continued his strong season this past week, recording four points in three games. The overager is now eight points away from surpassing his career high of 35 points and is closing in on 100 for his career. A key piece of the Saskatoon Blades' lineup, he is making the most of what will be his final year in the WHL.
