Standouts From Week 16 Of The 2024-25 WHL Season
Welcome to THN's "WHL Standouts From The Week" article. In this weekly column, we highlight one player from each division who impressed over the last week. Here is a look at the four standouts from week 16.
Jayden Kraus- Victoria Royals
One of the reasons the Victoria Royals have had such a strong season is goaltender Jayden Kraus. This past week, he went 3-0-0, allowing five goals on 68 shots. The 2025 NHL draft prospect is turning heads this year, as he has posted an 18-6-6 record through 32 games this season.
Oliver Tulk- Calgary Hitmen
The Calgary Hitmen are on a roll in a big way, thanks to Oliver Tulk's play. In three games, he had eight points, including a hat trick against the Moose Jaw Warriors. Currently on a 20-game point streak, it is going to be hard for teams in the East to slow down Tulk and the Hitmen.
Andrew Cristall, Berkly Catton & Shea Van Olm- Spokane Cheifs
This week, we are going to break the rules and give this award to a trio of players. The reason is that Andrew Cristall. Berkly Carron & Shea Van Olm put together one of the most impressive performances in recent history. The trio combined for seven goals, 12 assists and 12 shots on goal in a 12-2 victory over the Wenatchee Wild. Don't look now, but the Spokane Chiefs may have just assembled one of the best rosters in the CHL.
Justice Christensen- Prince Albert Raiders
Justice Christensen had a successful week with the Prince Albert Raiders. The defenceman recorded four points in three games while finishing the week with ten shots on goal. Known more for his work in the defensive zone, Christensen is well on his way to establishing a new career high in points this season.
